Durable Powers of Attorney (POA)

Why do you need them? – If you ever find yourself incapacitated, either temporarily or permanently, without a POA your loved ones will be forced to go to court to seek a guardianship and/or conservatorship.  With a valid POS in place it would be much less likely that a guardianship or conservatorship would be needed.  By having these essential documents in place well in advance of the need for them, you can save your loved ones the time, expense, delay and trouble involved with seeking a guardianship or conservatorship.
